Project · Café website

benefi.cafe

The website of a café in Didim on the Turkish Aegean coast – fast on a phone, bilingual, and built so the team can change prices themselves.

Requirements

Guests browse almost exclusively on their phones, often on mobile data. The menu changes regularly, and the team should not have to call an agency for that. At the same time, the café should be easy to find on Google with address, opening hours and map.

What was built

The menu is maintained in a Google Sheet. A small converter in the container fetches it every 15 minutes, so price changes go live without a new build. Photos are automatically rotated, stripped of EXIF and GPS data and produced as WebP in two sizes.

The home and menu pages are prerendered to plain HTML at build time. Titles, descriptions, Open Graph tags and structured data (schema.org CafeOrCoffeeShop with opening hours and coordinates) are generated from a single configuration file.
